The weekday ticket is the cheapest adult option if you can go between Monday 23 and Friday 27 November. Groups of 10 adults or more get 10% off by emailing See Tickets. A free carer ticket comes with each full-priced ticket for anyone who needs support; the booking form asks for proof such as a DLA, PIP or Attendance Allowance letter or a Blue Badge (Motorcycle Live tickets).
Who is on, and which day
The show says it has more than 50 manufacturers and over 250 exhibitors, test rides on the road, a balance-bike track for small children, a free Learn2Ride Zone for anyone aged 14 to 70, and a freestyle motocross display. This year’s new features include The Collection, 12 machines from the Moulsdale Foundation’s private museum chosen by Classic Bike magazine, and a celebration of 30 years of British Superbikes.
Guests confirmed so far, by day, on the new Super Stage:
- Saturday 21 November: Charley Boorman, round-the-world rider Elspeth Beard and BSB racer Glenn Irwin, hosted by James Whitham and Grace Webb, then meet and greets on the Zerofit stand.
- Sunday 22 November: BSB rider Ryan Vickers with his Honda team.
- Monday 23 November: road testers Al Fagan and Michael Neeves.
- Wednesday 25 November: Classic Bike editor Mike Armitage on The Collection.
- Saturday 28 November: 2004 BSB champion John Reynolds, with his title-winning Suzuki GSX-R1000. He is at the show on both weekends.
The organisers say more guests will be announced in the coming weeks (Motorcycle Live: first guests, more guests).
Parking and getting there
The show subsidises NEC parking. Booked by 11.59pm on Thursday 19 November, a day’s parking is £10; the show puts the on-the-day price at £19.95. The NEC car parks run on number plate recognition, so you pick the day when you book, and you can change it until midnight the night before. Blue Badge holders still pay, and are directed to the nearest disabled bays.
Motorbikes park free, in a secure, covered MCL Bike Park, signposted on arrival. A cloakroom outside Hall 2 holds helmets and jackets at £2 an item (Motorcycle Live travel and parking).
By train, the halls are a five-minute covered walk from Birmingham International. The show points out that you can park free at stations such as Berkswell and Hampton-in-Arden and catch a train to Birmingham International. Avanti West Coast tickets booked through the show’s link carry 20% off until 9 November.
From the town centre, our parking in Solihull page has the council car parks, and Solihull roadworks and travel has anything closed on the M42 and A45 that week. The Classic Motor Show is at the NEC the weekend before, 13 to 15 November.
