Solihull’s food festival is Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September 2026, in the town centre, and entry is free. Solihull BID has published the full stage line-up for all three days, so you can plan around it rather than turning up and hoping.

One thing to know before you search for it: it has two names. The BID’s diary, published in January, calls it the Solihull Food Festival. The event page calls it the Solihull Food & Harvest Festival 2026. Same weekend, same place.

The three days are genuinely different

This is not one thing running for three days. Each day has its own theme and its own stage programme.

Friday 25 September: Harvest Harmony

Seventeen local choirs take the Mell Square stage in half-hour slots from 1pm, with a lunchtime harvest singalong in the middle for anyone who wants to join in. There is also a food bank collection: bring a donation and a local charity distributes it.

Saturday 26 September: the food day

The busiest of the three. Live music runs from late morning to 8pm, street food traders line the High Street, and there are alfresco bars.

The new thing this year is a farmers market, indoor and outdoor, in Mell Square, with bread, pasta, wine and cheese producers on it, plus a haybale seating area if you want to sit down with a coffee or a glass of English wine.

There is a bucking bronco and a Farmyard creation station for children doing crafts.

One contradiction on the BID’s own page: the description says free line dancing tuition is at 11.30am, while the stage line-up printed further down the same page gives line dancing as 11.00 to 12.00. If you are going for the tuition specifically, get there for 11am.

What runs across the whole weekend

  • A Scarecrow Trail around the town centre, with a public vote for a favourite
  • A Massey Ferguson tractor parked up for photographs, on all three days

Getting there and parking

No road closure has been published for the festival. Solihull Council’s traffic regulation order register carries no special-event order for that weekend, which fits: the stage and market sit on Mell Square and the pedestrianised High Street.

The BID points visitors at the council car parks, naming Poplar Road, Lode Lane and Monkspath Hall Road, plus the Touchwood car park.
